A day in the life of.....
Beyond description..........but mostly sarcastic.
Beyond description..........but mostly sarcastic.
When someone is made out to be a complete and total bitch. Everyone that talks about her hates her! Then when you meet her, she is the sweetest thing in the world.
Why is it artists can’t express an emotion or describe an event without being labelled spiritual terrorists?
Just had an abrupt discussion via comment with fellow choir bug about a song that is currently heating up the charts.
He expressed his disdain for the song choice as a potential number for our upcoming alumni concert.
He is a God-fearing young man and did not see the song as suitable. Not because the song promoted promiscuity, flagrant drug use and alcoholism. But because the song had Illuminati references that were against God.
………….seriously
Now I am also God fearing. I have seen Him work in my life more times I can remember to count. Sometimes it is solicited but often times it is not.
I have God to thank for making me the first of my kind: A God fearing realist.
I can believe in God but still see the BS coming from a mile away and know to duck.
Speaking of BS…..
I am sure half of the Trinidad and Tobago population is probably suffering from whiplash with all that halo staring we did yesterday.
The social media forums were abuzz and the sun halo even made the evening news.
The phrase “end of the world” was bandied about a lot as if this never happened before and the halo was a bat signal to run to our panic rooms where we stored all the corned beef and bottled water and wait for the meteor to hit.
My fiance also carried on a brief conversation via comment where he had to explain to a future lawyer of our country how the sun halo was formed and this was not Jesus Christ phoning in a visit.
Not only was she offended by the scientific evidence he provided as reasoning for the halo. She also questioned whether humans are able to go beyond the atmosphere to prove that these mythical ‘ice crystals’ he spoke of existed.
She then proceeded to insult him calling him rude and ordered him off her wall.
………….seriously
Sometimes I wonder if organized religion does more harm than good to our society.
(some give a definite yes, but I am still questioning)
Being a member of the Queen of organized religion where we kiss crucifixes and revere the mother of the being the world knows as Our Lord, I have an idea how much damage it could cause.
However, belief in God should not take away our ability to respect the gift he gave us in the form of scientific explanation. And it surely should not prevent us from listening to good music.
